I started using duckduckgo after heavy lobbying from the LUG folks . It is indeed good. They are very open to feedback and change. Take a look at the below conversation

DDG is good but it sources its results from a lot of search engines including Bing. If you search for any term and scroll down in the right bottom there is an attribution saying “Results by bing, powered by Yahoo!” :-S
